  • drivers side window motor HELLLLLPPPPP

    ok this is wierd, only happens on hot days when i turn the AC on and shut the windows. when i try and shut the drivers side window,it will go a little then stop, and if i wait a few mins, it will go a little more. only on hot days, only with the AC on. could there be a circut breaker? maybe a bad switch or motor? any ideas?

        Need a new motor!

        Yup, your motor is going out. A common problem. Drivers side gets used more; passenger side will go out eventually.

        Just replaced the motor in my '95 TA last month. Actually, I was the flunky; my mechanic buddy did most of the work. It took us about 2.5 hours (it was his first time on an f-body) and we could probably do the other side much quicker in the future. The motor cost me around $50 from a whole-saler (I've got connections through my friend). Need to have a pop riveter and mini roto grinder tool would be helpful, too (grind off head of old rivets). Tried to follow the link to replace motor without taking out whole assembly but didn't work for us so we took whole thing out. Getting it back in place took the longest. Tight working quarters! But a two man job. Someone has to hold the window up...
        Anyway, your symptoms are exactly like mine. Window goes up a little then stops...wait a few minutes and try again...then it goes up a little more. Motor is dying on you dude!

            replace the switch first. happend 4 times on the hawk, once on the comp ta. told mary..quit pressing down so hard...thats what does it.
