  • Two Questions for the good folks here

Hi folks. I'm new here, but you guys seem to know quite a bit about these f-bodies, so I figured this'd be a good place to get some answers. So, here goes.

Question 1: In the low RPM ranges (1500-2000) when I give my 94 Z28 just a little bit of gas it sort of makes a popping sound and the throttle goes on an off rhythmically. Is this a faulty spark plug or something I should be seriously concerned over?

Question 2: Last time I was on the highway, a renegade rock flew up from the pavement and into my foglight, shattering the glass and blub. I've spent a couple of hours searching the internet for a replacement lamp to no avail. If anyone knows where I can buy one, or what the GM part number is (so i can refine my search beyond "camaro foglamp"), let me know.

Thanks for reading this, I appreaciate it. And, thanks in advance for helping me out.

A low rpm stumble, coming off idle and up to about 2,000rpm can be a result of a failing OptiSpark distributor. It could also be a leaky EGR valve, and a few other things. What happens when the engine is under load, full throttle above 4,000rpm - is there any roughness, stumbling or misfires? Is the idle silky smooth, or a little rough?

Try Shoebox's site... he has over 225 popular part numbers cataloged:

When you find the part number (I have a Formula, so I don't know it), we can give you leads to sources that will sell you parts for about 50% of normal dealer prices.
