Kevin... he is running in the 1/8 what I am running. A bone stock '93 LT1 with 133,000 miles running the same time as a 345 rwhp '02 LS1???? With a 60' that is 4 tenths worse than mine? Sorry, bro... no way.
And the mph, is like way low. lol... gimp, everything is screwed up there.

This was my point. I've seen lots and lots of stock LT1's run similar 1/8 mile ET's to the stock LS1's 1/8 mile ET's. The LS1's pull way harder than the LT1's at the top of the 1/4. LT1's pull pretty nice on the bottom of the track and then sometimes fall on their face at the top, hence the odd looking numbers for some stock LT1 1/8 mile ET's.
Trust me, I have spent just as much time if not more than anyone here on this board at the track and I have traveled to at least 7 other tracks here in TX, Lousiana, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway on a regular basis. I grew up next to two brothers. one who was an NHRA director and the other was a top fuel mechanic. Lets just say I have spent lots-o-time around the drag racing scene. The one thing I first figured out was that there lots of people who think they know everything there was to know about drag racing but really don't. Not pointing the finger at anyone here BTW.

I always felt like the MPH was most likely a printed error. I never even said that the shortime and the ET were compatible. My only argument was that the 1/8 ET for a stock LT1 was totally feasible. I haven't seen a lot of stock LT1's run similar 1/8 mile ET's, but I have seen a handful do it ,and that is all that is neccesary to make the valid argument that his 1/8 mile ET is very possible.

Understood. But on a 2.6 60' it just can't be...

I wish I had your MPH. Evident that the LS1 is a better breather on top. It would be a great race as it stands. If either of us breaks traction, it's the other's race. I also wish my slips had 1000' times as well. It would be nice to see the comparison. Had I pulled my better sub 2.0 60' times, a high 12 is right there within grasp. This would be a fun comparison!
Fred,
I wish I had your Formula to play with on weekends.
Ken,
I wish I had the Hawk and goverment's days off.
Kevin,
I wish I had your intestinal fortitude to continue an arguement that has very little meaning. Then again, no I don't. Asking for scans of timeslips? Come on, I would expect that from a High schooler. To see the other lane? Right.............you crack me up.
Besides, this local track doesn't give you the opponant's lane when you run single. For some stupid reason you only get your lane. Maybe it saves paper? LOL! Not only that, I don't have a scanner, I made up all my times, my dog ate it, I don't actually have a WS6, I'm really impersonating a moderator while Ken is away, my medication is running out.......so is my patience.
