  • OK - I am sold - Zaino rules

I finally listened to you guys - Zaino is the best stuff I have ever used. I have used everything - I mean EVERYTHING - never had my car look like it does now. I am addicted - only 2 coats on it and I can't wait to hit 10 coats! The car looks like it is wet! I will post some pics soon - it is 11:30 here - terrible lighting in my garage. I am showing my car for the first time on Saturday and am really excited about it. I am also judging the show - I will be judging 1st and 2nd gens - it is an all F-Body show. Evidentally Zaino will not let me down! It is pretty easy to use except it is hard to see on a silver car - afraid I will miss some spots - oh well I guess that is what the multiple coats are for!

Silver 02 WS-6, 6 speed, Corsa cat-back, SLP lid, K&N filter, BMR STB, !CAGs, Lou's short stick, MSD wires, MTI "Hammer" cam, ASP underdrive pulley, Hooker LTs, Hooker ORY, Comp 918s, TR pushrods, UMI Sfcs, UMI LCAs, NGK TR55s, Hotchkis springs

If you're just starting out, get one of the kits. The show kit has everything you'd need for the paint, the "ultimate" kit has leather, glass, and rubber products in it too I believe. Expensive, but worth every penny!

they serve two different purposes......Dawn strips off prior coats of wax......the claybar removes surface contaminants imbedded in the paint's surface....

for best results, do the Dawn wash, claybar, wash, apply ZFX/Z5 (or Z1/Z5)....the advantage of ZFX is that it accelerates the curing process and allows you to apply up to 3 coats within 24 hours ( and it also seems to provide better optical results).....with Z1, the recommended application is limited to 1 coat within a 24 hour period...

I ordered just the basics. I already had the clay bar from Mother's so I cheated there. I washed the car with dawn, clay barred the entire car, then started applying Z2 (with ZFX added) in my case. The paint on my car was in very good shape - it gets a lot of TLC - did not need the Z5 at this point. I used Z6 in between coats of Z2. I am truly amazed.

Question though - it says 1 bottle of Z2 should coat a Corvette 20 times - the bottle of Z2 is 8 oz - so I should be able to do the car 2x with 1 ounce of Z2. That is so little - is that really enough product? Am I doing the math incorrectly?

Zaino is the best polish ever made, by far! It's creator, Sal Zaino is a god! And a heck of a nice guy too. The entire line of zaino products, as well as testimonials (if you don't get enough here) and photos are at www.zainostore.com

what are all the differnet types of zaino i will need in order??
You'll need wither Z-1 or the ZFX, not both. You'll need Z-2, and Z-5 if you have swirl marks you'd like to disappear, Z-6 spray, Z-7 wash. I'd say that's the minimum. There are lots of others for rubber, plastic, glass, leather, etc...
