yeah, those are some slick cars, but there's no way i'd even CONSIDER paying that much for it, especially when i could get an SS/WS6 and put $20k into it, and be WAY faster for less $$$

      true.

BUT... also consider this... say you have $30K in a WS6 and can beat it... What do you figure you could sell the WS6 for?? 12K or 13K? You'll lose at least half the $$ you spent on it when you sell it.

If you buy the Chrysler, it will be years before it depreciates that much.. But it will eventually, and you'll end up losing the $$ anyway. I guess you cant win either way.

I spent 8,000 on my Z. I've put another 2,500 in it. I doubt I'll ever be in a situation where I cant at least get my money back out of it. That is what i hate about cars... they are terrible investmants usually, especailly if you put miles on them.

I test drove the garden variety and thought it was a slick little car.

LOL... most of us do sell our cars eventually. There are the occasional "freaks" that manage to keep a car forever. I will someday sell my Z. Most likely to buy a 2002 WS6 T/A convertible with 6-speed.

Thats not going to happen for a while, though. Those cars still sell for over $20K.

You cant take me to the Gallows, because I'd insist on buying another F-body if I sold mine!

i have driven that the n/a crossfire up to like 130 and it felt the same at 65 the car is very well built and that transmission makes me wish i had a mercedes (yes the car is built in germany) the shifting is so quick and accurate and with that supercharger its hard to pass up... except for the price tag...

46k is alot of $! If I were looking at a new performance car and was going to spend that kind of $ I'd look for a Z06. Im sure I could find one that was a demo or just a left over. And it would hqave better resale value in the long run.

Real men just find more storage space. I usually mod stuff to the point that I don't know who the hell I could sell it to anyway except another freak. Besides, my machines are my little mechanical family. I am the king, they are my subjects, I treat them with loving care, they don't let me down. Cant say that about my GF. My machines always help me find another GF, but my GF is always jealous of my machines. My machines are high maintenance, My GF is impossible maintenance. My machines have outlasted a dozen GFs, they are here to stay. If I find something better, I add it to the family. It causes minor problems. When I get more than 1 GF, it causes major problems. I always regret selling my 69 RoadRunner. The kid who bought it wrecked it in a month.

I'm 6'-0 tall, and didn't fit comfortably into the car, my right leg couldn't be straightened out, and my knee was against the dashboard with the seat all the way back against the speaker rack.

My wife thought it was "cute", and the std. model for $28k wasn't too bad.

But $46k puts it in Vette territory.
