Take a look at this and tell me what you think. I'm not real fond of the headlights but I'm still thinking about looking at it.

Wolfie, are Virginia Emissions Tests similar to NC? OBDII? If this is near you, can you go take a look at it for me?

    Thanx.

I know it's hard to get money that you invest in a car back at the time of sale but this car seams a little under priced even if it were stock. Something just doesn't seam right here.

Not a bad looking car but I'm with you. I don't care for the headlights.

If I were in the market for a Vette, I would search out a bone stock one that hasn't been run hard.

Generally speaking, I wouldn't buy a car that has been beaten as badly as this car probably has, but if the motor is legit and it runs decent, it's probably worth it.

The wheels and tires are about $2k. I've never seen a Granatelli Motor. Anybody know what to look for?

To be honest, I am not a big fan of the Granatelli or any of the coined "big name" tuner engines. It may be great, but so often these engines come to the tuner late and subpar. The tuner that I use finally got sick of it, and stopped buying these engines and builds them himself using a trusted machine shop.

Often, one tries to squeeze mustard out of a grape; in other words, this thing is thrown into the car with the expectation that it is going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but nothing is setup right for the motor purchased and the car being used. Be REALLY careful. I would buy a clean C5 with low miles and build it the way "you" want it. ...or, buy this car and expect to rebuild it properly fixing the mistakes of the previous attempt...the price kinda points in that direction.

If this Vette truly produces the 480 hp he claims, then you know it has been driven hard. Kinda like being married to Carmen Electra and not sleeping with her! I don't like the headlights either, but the price does seem pretty good.

If your looking for a c5 you could find a better deal w/o all the trouble of a car with a weird history... go for the garaged, older male, one owner, low miles... i can't say many of these 50k machines were parked outside or lack the maintenence. i was actually looking for a vette and they are almost always immaculate cars.
