Yeah I was at Ft bragg last year. Teaching comms equipment to 7th group. Its a total military town man. I think I have a friend in 82nd right now his name is Mike Tuscana.
I never wanted to do that crap, although I probably wouldnt mind jumping out of planes I dont think Id like it doing it for the Army. To much crap you have to do.

heh
dude swaps are such a pain, esp if you cant do them yourself you spend too much $. b4 i bought my z28 last month i was seriously thinking of doing an l67 (3800 supercharged) swap into a a fiero with a getrag 5spd. i later found that i would need one more part after another and wiring is such a pain. just buy somethin with an ls1 in it already unless you have complete access to a shop and have a daily driver ready to drive and large pockets.

Swaps ARE a pain in the a$$ in a car not designed for that engine. Thats alot of fab work. The only wiring changes that have to be made is 150mph gauges, which is just installing them, and splicing one wire to fire both sides of the LS1.
The v6 uses one fuse to fire both sides of the engine where as the LS1 uses 2. Other than that the harness's are complete plug and play.
Costs from someone else's swap(same year/make/model):
engine/tranny/blah blah $3000
used steering rack $100
used radiator $80
used gauge cluster $50
used engine cradle $free i got lucky and found a guy giving his away after putting in a BMR K member
used gas pedal $25
used airlid (aftermarket) $70
total price in parts needed: $3,330
total price for installation: $1,100 <--this included a $45 alignment which was done at a dealership.
granted my mechanic gave me a hell of a hook up. he says if he was to do it again he would charge $1500. he and i go way back so he always hooks me up.
my total swap price: $4,430
and I dont need everything on that list.
