    I am looking at buying a 4dr Grand Am GT as my daily driver any opions, still keeping the TA though

      ehh w-bodies

      ehh i had a 93' lumina z34 b4 my camaro now an all i had was problems. fwd sucks heh but idk that was just my expirience with fwd w-bodies.

        ya thats the only thing stoping me, the fwd. Most Rwd cars are pretty expensive or are getting older and need more maintance.

          There decent cars i have buddy that has a 00 GASE with the 2.4 he stroked it to a 2.6 and put an ass load of cash into it and he's busting out 13's in the 1/4 even the 4 cyl car is pretty quick ive seen a few around here run with v6 camaros with basic bolt ons.

            FWD is better in the winter, as you live in canada like me that may be a factor. Only problem with them that I know of is weak CV joints in the front. So no tire spining, probably not a problem with a DD.

              I haven't driven to much fwd, but I REALY don't like the way they handle in slippery conditions. I find that it is much harder to recover from a loss of control with fwd.

                They do get much better traction in the snow and on ice than a RWD. The best thing to do with a FWD when they break loos is to point the wheels in the direction you want to go. They will take you there. I also hate driving them Torque stearing is terrible

                  ya they do start better in ice and snow but I dont like putting all my eggs in one basket so to speak. If you lose traction on those front wheels, gooooood bye, at least with rear drive you can still do something other than turn into the skid and hope you get some traction.
