    hello and help!!!!
To start with i have a 1996 lt1 camaro that was running fine on saterday.
Changed the water pump because it was lkeaing from the weep hole. With that it was sugested that i change the OPTICRAP! So i got the mauial and off i went. Got it back together with the exception of the tighting up the clamps on the air cleaner assembly. Now it wont start!!!!!! I made sure that i got the wireing from the plugs to the cap right. It will turn over and caugh but sounds like its 180 out is this posible????? And yes ive read the other forums on this but i can put my finger on it.

As hard as it is to believe, it is possible to get the dowl pin in the wrong hole. I have seen this happen in at least a dozen documented threads on the various boards.

Did you force the Opti on in any way.... e.g. - pull it down tight with the bolts?

I was super careful cause the book said that that was not good to do. i pulled out the old one and made sure that i keeped it in the same possition( i thought) then i took the new one and wigled it in just like the old one. I'm at my wites end with this car.
