  • Now the bird died on me

    I was trying to go for my lunch break...fired the formula up and started rolling along. Inside my work parking lot the car just dies out on me. Now it won't start back up for me...it just keeps turning. Any suggestions to get this thing home short of calling a tow truck?

    does it have the "clicking" sound like the starter wants to engage? Or not even that much of a sound?

      by saying "it just keeps turning" I'm assuming it cranks fine, but will not fire. It is either gas or spark. Use the document I posted in a thread last night for Nick to figure out why it wont start.

        hmm

        hmm sounds similar to my ongoing ignitioon problem. do u have fuel pressure? do u have spark from the coil when its cranking? if no spark then its either your coil, module or optispark unfortunately highly doubt the pcm... im assuming you dont have any type of aftermarket ignition boxes etc. id start there. if you have no fuel pressure then listen to see if your fuel pump is priming in acc position.

          Problem resolved...I guess that the new Walbro pump is just a lil' bit stronger than the stock one...It blew the hose right off and that's what caused it to die/not start. Thankfully we did the pump via the trap door method and the problem was 'easily' corrected as opposed to having to drop the tank/axle, etc. Anyways it's on there a lot tighter now! Thanks for the suggestions/help!
