soo my dash panel broke?

Ok so i broke me dash board. The hard plastic piece that goes all the way to the winshield. I had my shift light screwed to it. Its been there forever. I took a corner the other day and the light came out with a chunk of the dash and put a long crack in it. So my question is where do i get a replacement and how hard is it to replace it. oh and its a 97 z28.

check the local salvage yards, if you are talking about the piece with the vent ribs right under the rear view mirror, then all you have to do is remove the pillar covers on each side, and pop that whole piece out. its just velcroed in in the back(near the dash) and little hooks in the front (by the window). i am going to a yard today and i will see if they have any

Don't go to a salvage yard. I did and they wanted $150 for it. I stopped by the dealership and bought a new one for like $140. Then I found out I could get it brand new from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ for <$90. You might get it less from Dal.
