First Ticket at 21yrs

"80MPH in a posted 55"...i was on a 4-mile two lane bridge following traffic...I have NO idea where this cop came from...he was doing some james bond cop work when he clocked me...It was at night...i was being completely safe...they are beefing up enforcement on that bridge i guess...which is gay because most ppl are puttering around at 45MHP and you CANT PASS! My pet pieve is left lane losers! .....$202.50, 4-points,not fun....I guess i have the option of going to some class to reduce the points.

PS all I could think of was "how my car had T-Tops and its sweet", and "the radar bounces off my car cause i wax it like the stealth bomber" and lastly "the cop wrote me a thankyou note for not running from him." hehehe i love that soundbyte.

thats a tough pill to swallow, i'm surprised he didn't give you a break...it being your first ticket and all....my first ticket was 52 in a 35...he reduced to 43...my ticket was only like 50 bucks...and he said 1 point but i think DE law says ANY speeding ticket is atleast 2 points. Well good luck with that, especially the insurance

Yeah DE sucks. Atleazst 2 points and 10-19 is 4 points and so on. And everything transfers back from every state. If you get a ticket in TX it comes back to de and they stick it to ya Got one in NJ and went to court over there and they gave no pionts and I just had to pay the fine but not DE. They gave me what speed I was doing.

Oh well still doent have any sales tax

What do you mean? Ive had my old 89 formula up over 245 KPH/150 MPH. Granted its not 184 MPH, but its only 34 MPH off. Way better than my good old 68 GMC pickup, it only goes 100 KPH/ 62 MPH

ya my first ticket was 146km/h in an 80km/h zone, he dropped it to 29km/h over the limit, the fine was well over 500 bucks though

only had one ticket, and it was when i was 16..the cop gave a ticket to me for going 35 in a 30....that was messed up..

lol im 19 and have 3 speeding tickets in 2 states. one being serious in which the officer wrote me up for driving to endanger- a criminal ofense but i went to an 8 hour driver retraining course before the court date and had that dropped.

No offense, but you WERE doing 80 in a 55... It's not like you were doing 60, 65, or even 70 (which is pushing it anyway). You were going 25 over. It's pretty hard for the cops to ignore that. That's the price you pay for having a cooler car than anyone else--the cops target you.

I got a ticket for 90 in a 70... $384!!! Goldfield (NV) takes an arm and a leg!! Plus, i got clocked as we passed eachother (1 lane highway). Supposedly you can dispute those because they are inaccurate... this true??
