  • Going to Seattle and Korea

I'm going to go to Seattle and attend my Uncle's wedding and hang with him and my cuzs. Later we're going to chill in Korea for a week with relatives. Anything I should know about Seattle?

Check out Pier 54, it's pretty cool and one of those things you see when you are there. The space needle is pretty cool, awesome view.

In this thread there is a list of what is going on local in the area. There is quite a bit happening through the rest of the summer.

If you going to be around Seattle area for the first week of Sept you might want to jet up here to Van, BC for the car show in Langley. It is one of the biggest shows in North America. Should be 3500-4500 cars and over 250,000 people for the weekend. Every kind of car you can imagine.

How long are you going to be in Seattle? There is a million and one things to do in that area. Be sure you go down and take the tour of the Russian Nuclear Sub (if it is still there). You can go see the Orcas (I can't remember if that is the right season), take a day trip to Mt. Rainier. The Seattle Underground is pretty cool if you like the night-life. You definitely want to get out of the city and see some of the surrounding areas...that place is absolutely beautiful. I miss it...I lived in the Tacoma/Olympia area for seven years.

Let me know what you like? ...that place has it all.

If it is clear, you get an incredible view. It is awesome to see the peak of Rainier sitting majestically above the clouds.

That is an amazing sight it just seems to float there. I lived in Spanaway and you could see Ranier from my back yard.... I almost forgot the aquarium down by the state park in Tacoma (right off commencement bay) is really good.

Point Defiance, yes for the life of me I couldn't remember the name if it. Thanks. We took everyone from out of town there when they came to visit it was a good time. I must have gone 20 times in 4 years and loved it every time. That is still the best aquarium I have been to out of L.A. California, Tampa Fl, New Orleans LA, Chicago Ill, and Houston TX.
