I heard that the Pontiac Solstice is coming out in 2006. It has a supercharged 4 banger. I hear it'll run 13.1 in the quarter. Anybody know if this is true, or have any additional information?

not sure if it'll get teh blown ecotec...but the 2.4 puts out 170bhp. Good enough to run the roadster in 15.2 (prototype) in Nuburgring...I doubt 13.1 is attainable with only 200-220 blown (if I read correctly...it's 2.2 in the blown version)...it's a hair heavier than a MX5 miata.

Not sure of the Pontiac's weight, but it takes roughly 1 HP per 10 lbs to acheive around a low 13 second quarter mile.

I remember seeing the "estimated" time being 13.1 in Car and Driver...but they were also estimating it with the 2.2 supercharged and i believe intercooled engine. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
