from my understanding it can be done if you get the entire system customized and are willing to drop some serious money. It is very difficult though because of the clearance underneath and the room allotted for the exhaust pipes without them scraping the ground. These cars don't exactly sit high off the ground.
Can it be done, yes. Is there a kit, no. There are a good number of people running true duals on 3rd gens, but they are all custom. But, to get info on true duals on a 3rd gen, check out www.thirdgen.org and the exhaust forum. That should tell you everything you need to know.

mine looks like i could go wheeling with it. however, with dual exhaust it would be low. sometimes a larger diameter single exhaust can be better than a dual exhaust of a smaller diamter. most exhaust shops wont do this either because it is not emissions compliant to put two cats on a car factory-equipped with only one

You're right, I forgot about that. If you do get true duals, it is going to hang pretty low. Some people at Thirdgen.org have complained about that. Also, the general consensus from all the websites I go to is that a single 3" exhaust is good up to about 400 HP.

if u want it to really flow, just copycat the original in three inch and put a dump pipe behind the front wheel. thatll flow way better than dual, but maybe too good. just a suggestion, dont know if itll work well or not
