  • Some of you might remember.......

My thread "went to the 1/8mile track" well I went back to the track last week and it turns out to be a 1/10th mile. Anyone know how to do a rough conversion from a 10th to a 1/8 or 1/4mile, I kinda want to know where my car stands.

    seems to me that...

If the track is 1/10th of a mile, and you want to know what your time would have been had it been 1/4 or a quarter mile you would have to equate your forward motion, carry it forward to a mile or 10/10th (same thing). Other wise take the 1/10th time and multiply it by 10 and then divide it by 4 you will have your time converted to 1/4. Does that make any sense?

i would assume that its too innacurate to assume your accelaration rate is the same past the first tenth. I would first ask anyone if theyve run a similar time with a stock setup, and if so what they ran on the quarter. Other than that thats way too much math for me to figure out accurately.
