so i am thinking about putting the ATI p600b, or p-1sc looking to go with 14psi, and have some fun. any one out there have this one. it will also be the twin intercooled kit. along with a motor built towards it. 9.5 compression, mild low/no overlap cam, total seal rings, forged pistons, and maybe some AFR 190cc heads.

what are your thoughts on exhaust? long or short tube headers, flowmaster or loud mouth?

If you are truly looking to use around 14 psi I would go with the D-1SC. To maintain 14 psi out of the P-1SC would be very hard on it. Not sure what you mean by a no overlap cam? It is wise to decrease the amount of overlap by way of a numerically higher LSA (lobe separation angle) in boosted apps, but you will always need a certain amount of overlap to provide a scavenging effect for the new a/f charge to be helped in. If you asked for someone to grind you a cam with enough LSA to completely separate the two VE's, they would look at you like you were crazy.

The total seal rings were a good idea on paper, but just to let you know through the grapevine I've heard a lot of ring failure stories from Total Seal ring sets. A slight gap (.007-.015) in the top ring (compression ring) is actually a good thing. The combustion event itself needs an ever so slight bit of a dynamic compression leak to prevent ring butting. Especially on a boosted motor. Go with something like the JE Hellfire's or even the Speed Pro's. The gap is not so significant on the second ring or even less so on the 3 piece oil control ring pack.
