  • Cleaning up tail lights

I had the whole T/A painted and now it looks really nice except in the back. The tail lights and the piece in between looks really sad, scuffed up.

Is there a way to polish them back up to make them look nice and shiny?

Any automotive abrasive polishing compound works great on plastic. If you use a machine to apply it be carefull not to go to fast. The speed will produce heat and melt the plastic.

Thanks Tracy and Doc. I guess it will be a project for the winter.

Blue Magic Metal Polish. It makes a fantastic plastic polish for stuff like gauge and tail lenses.

I used that and a Dremel to apply and take it off on my tail lights. They were pretty dull and scratched looking before. They looked new when I was done. Just be careful like Tracy mentioned to not stay in one spot to long or you can burn they plastic.
