Ok so tonight i was driving around with some friends, and we are geting on the highway goin up the on ramp at about 40, i then got on the gas hard all seemed well until the car shifted and it made a loud pop, and you could feel it jerk. i also could feel the peadal move. any ideas ?? im thinkin its gota be the tranny but mabe not since under normal driving its fine . . . im a little lost. and since its only got 47k on it i realy dont think its the tranny, or the rear end, but it seems the only logical explanation. . . . this probabaly doesnt make much sense but its 330 am . . .

Anybody besides me thinking maybe a backfire or spark knock? What octane fuel were you running? Might check fuel press if the tranny mount is OK- lean condition could make a pop under load.Comment

Do you feel your car pop when it shifts into gears? Is it coming from underneath your console? Could be a tranny mount.Hercules

Yea when i first heard it i thought it was my passengers seat since the kid siting in it had moved it up a bit. i just figured the seat wasnt locked in, but he didnt think so so i tried it again and it made the same noise.-Nick-

Sounds like the tranny mount to be as well. But don't worry, they aren't expensive and are pretty easy to fix.....atleast mine was
