  • Wheel/Tire opinions

Looking for new wheels and tires to go up a couple sizes on the TA. I have the stock 16x8's now and want to go to 17 or 18" rims. I found this combo that I think will work nicely, and want to know if any of you guys are have run these sizes and tires?

Front: ROH RT 18x9 w/ Pirelli PZero Nero 245/40-18

Rear: ROH RT 18x10 w/ Pirelli PZero Nero 275/35-18

This setup keeps the 25.7" tire height from the stock setup so that the speedo drift is acceptible. I believe this should fit but would like some feedback before droppin the cash....

Wolfman, any feedback on these meats? Thanks man.

On the 9" wheel up front, you should go to a 275. Front tires won't affect the speedo but you might want to go to a 35 profile to keep them similar to the backs. On the back with a 10" wheel I'd go to a 285 or 295. Again, you might have to change the sidewall profile or you could use an HPP to recalibrate the speedo or get a custom program.

Do you know the offset or backspace on each of the ROH wheels? That will determine how well the wheel/tire combo fits in the wheel well, and whether there will be any interferences or rubbing.

        Fred,

I think that these are 43mm offset. Both the 18x9 and x10.

That should work... they will look fairly aggressive, with the wheel/tire placed toward the outer edge of the fender, but still inside the fender line.

I run 245/40/18 on a 18x9 inch rim. I love them. I might go to a 255-265 maybe 275 on them next time but right now the sidewalls are perfectly straight in line with the rim. I didnt want to have them bulge or sit slanted in when they were mounted. I can take some pics tomarow and post them if you like. Just so you know what they look like. And the overall hight of the tire is the 1/10 of an inch higher than my stock 245/50/16.

I know that some folks have used 50mm Z06 wheels with some success. How well would that work with the 18x10.5 black Z06's? Anybody got experience with these. LMperformance has them. They look bad ***!!!
