  • Specific f-body q's(newb here)

I just picked up a 1980 Camaro was hoping some of you would be able to help me out. I was wondering what the lug bolt pattern is, what other generations and models are the same lug bolt pattern, what is the name of the stock carbuerated 350(ie LTI, WS6) motor and who made the tranny(s) that came with it, What trannies will fit from other cars and what years? The car dosnt have a motor or tranny with it and I just need to know what to search for. Also does any one have any good second gen or general f-body sites I can check out for forums, parts or anything else f-body related?

Here is some pretty good info:

      http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro80.html

The lug pattern is the same as a 3rd-4th gen, 5 x 4.75.

Sweet thanks for the link, I actually found that site a while ago but was looking for other information at the time so I over looked stuff. Thanks for the bolt pattern info, I was looking on ebay for rims and I did a search for camaro rims and it most of the rims it brought up were 5x8 or 5x8.5, im guessing this is wrong?

If there were 8" or 8.5" measured across the pattern, that would be a huge hub! That can't be right.

I would assume that should read 15x8 or 15x8.5.

              For Second Gen information . . .

              . . . check out Gary Lisk's homepage:

Particular to Trans Ams, but useful for Camaros, too.

A 5" backspace is the max you can use before contacting the inner fender with a tall tire such as a 275/60/15. A good sizewheel is a 15x8 with a 4.5 inch backspace.
