  • Saw my first C6 on the road today!

I saw one a few months ago on a car trailer, saw one today on the road for the first time.... Corvettes at Carlisle is in town and there was a silver one stopped at a light. Caught a glimpse of it and could tell immediately it was a C6, even though to me they look a lot alike. The nose seems shorter and the headights are still taking some getting used too, but definately a sweet looking car, and with 400 hp I can be forgiving!

It's a lot better having your town's streets clogged with corvettes than when the rice boys come to town... or the Fords.... :shiver:

It's funny when I see posts like this... I don't mean to take anything away from you Dave... it just makes me realize how cool living around Detroit can be at times There are three C6s being driven by GM guys that live in my subdivision, hehehehe...

I definitely think it is pretty sweet... the more and more I see it, the more and more I like the front. Not a fan of the back though. The lights will grow on you

I probably would have gone another few months without seeing one if the Corvettes weren't in town... except at the dealerships. You don't get a whole lot of expensive, exotic cars around here. And yes, even the Corvette is considered expensive and exotic!

I live in Bowling Green Kentucky and see them daily. Hell, I drive by the plant on the way to work. I was at work one day and one of the exec's from the plant pulled up in one. I PLEADED but she wouldn't let me take it around the block.

I got a call from the BG plant yesterday. I got my VIN and sequence number. It won't be long now.

Did you take the National Corvette Museum delivery option?

If so, look for my name on one of the bricks as a "founding member"

Fred, I didn't get the museum option. I want it delivered so I can detail it out before I start getting rock chips. hahaa I was at the plant for the Z06 festival and also went thru the museum. It was the first week of production for the C6. I also saw them building XLRs. I'm going back in a couple of weeks as they will let me see my car being built.

So...what kind of performance are we looking at with the new Z06? The Base should be right there with the old Z06, right?

Strong rumors are calling for a 427 CID (7.0L) powerplant kicking out 500 HP.

It should hover right around 3000 lbs...
