  • Newbie Alert! Let me Introduce myself.

    Howdy all.
My name is Ralph Algiere.. but my FRIENDS call me AL. I am in the U.S. Army and currently I am an Active Duty Advisor for an Army Reserve Unit in Wisconsin. My rank is Sergeant First Class.. hence the SFC in my nick.

HOPEFULLY Monday I will be picking up my 95 Camaro Z28. Its kinda ragged out but for the price.. I couldn't pass it up. I paid under 5K for it and it has less than 65,000 on the odometer. I was looking around for replacement interior parts and found this place. I will try my best to sit back and read and learn. ANY advice is greatly appreciated so feel free to email me about how to help me replace pretty much my entire interior thru used parts (inexpensive is ALWAYS good) its got tan leather interior so I know its going to be a challenge.

This is my first Camaro. I have owned several "muscle cars" over the years.. my first being a 69 Chevelle SS 396.

Anyways this looks like a GREAT place for me to get info!

    SFC AL

Welcome aboard and try using e-bay for replacement parts I've always had good luck there. Also I just bought a dash off of FireFinder he has a post up in the forsale forum but if I remeber right he had the tan leather exterior and it looked like it was in good shape.

                Replace the entire interior

Late model domestics salvage yard could provide you with everything at once. You can find 95 Camaros lined up to be scavanged. I hate the idea of pulling apart something I find precious, however these cars are wrecked, totaled and just for you to show up with a torx screwdriver set. I once bought every single piece of an interior this way and only paid $500.00 The car I scavanged had a nearly new interior, but had been rear ended severly. By the way, I have received an accurate answer to every single f-body question I have ever posted here on this forum. Good Luck and thanks for serving in our nations military, my whole family appreciates your contribution.

Bob you have one of those contractor jobs in Doha? Spent lotsa time there picking up vehicles and convoying them to Balad Iraq. Shoot me a PM if you would I have a question.

and PVT.. don't feel bad.. I started out as a private also 14 1/2 years ago!

are you AC RC or NG?

being Infantry is ok I guess we all have our limitations just messin.. I was a Platoon Sergeant of 1/2 Mechanics and 1/2 Grunts.. LONG STORY.. the short of it is I was in a NATO unit and we were deploying for the ground war of OIF.. I got to wear the grunt and knucklebuster hat.. was definately fun and a challenge.

wow, this forum is great! I am active duty, and I'll actually probably be sent to Iraq in maybe half a year or so. So far the grunt life, despite its annoyances, isn't too bad. I am actually in the process of trying to get a ranger indoctrination in my contract so that I can take it a step further. The only downer part of all that is i get taken away (obviously) from my project birds. Of course, the call of duty is a far more important one than that of my own hobbies. Glad to be onboard both this forum, and the US Army!!
