  • Hello.

I was referred here from being a longtime (still active) member of 3rdgen.org. Two years ago I purchased a wrecked '95 T/A . White color, gray leather, t-tops, auto, 65,xxx miles. My friend Kelly and I restored it, and opted to go with customizing the front end with the 2002 bumper, fenders and headlights. We also put on a Suncoast Creations Ram Air H.O. hood. Earlier this year a gentleman cut me off as I was entering a rest stop (he came out the wrong way) and I damaged the front end, passenger ground effect and one lower control arm.....after all the hard work, I am really frustrated. I've decided it's either time to fix everything (car still only has 82,xxx miles) or sell it. It has a competition stereo system (minus the subs, those were stolen while the car was parked at a friends' house) remote start , keyless entry, K&N airfilter, white face gauges, New tires, front brakes & rotors, battery, B&M shift control module (took it out, would sell with car or seperate.) blahblahblah. Any ideas about fixing/selling?

Id fix it. You already have money into it. But I guess you could sell it and get another one if you like them.

I'd fix it. Since you changed the front end, that may be appealing to a young private buyer, but might not appeal to anyone else. The fact that its a great car should be enough to want to keep it!! Plus, like this was already said, you have money into it.

huh, weird. That's the first time i've heard it's not appealing....I think I want to fix it, it's just dis-heartening after all that work. Right now, this second, if I could find someone to buy it, I think I would sell it. Give me a few days and I'll probably wind up keeping it... Just wondering though, anyone have any ideas of the parts yards?

            fiftyfive,
i can't imagine how i would feel if i had something similar happen to my 95 Z28. i've donr lots of work to it and love mthe car it now is. its like its was made for me...anyways..i would fix it if it was me. i would look on www.ebay.com for any parts you might need for the fix up. i sometimes think about selling my 95Z28 and getting a LS1 camaro but i just cant see myself parting with my ride. plus it would be like starting all over again......

Okay, I checked with my bank, and they'll finance me on a brand new 05 cobra for my car plus a down payment of $1000.

Just kiddin'. I guess part of wanting to trade the car was because I was just frustrated about fixing it, but when I actually think about selling it and "starting over" I know that I can't do it. I guess it's a keeper, and, if I can, I 'll frequent the boards here...

We dont even joke about those things on here!!
                j/k
I would also fix it if I were you. You have spent alot of time, effort and money to get the car exactly where you want it to be. Now some idiot hit you and your going to abandon all that has been done before?? I know the thoughts of getting rid of your car but take a step back and look to see if that's what you really want.

You said it was wrecked and you fixed it. Does it have a clear title? Its going to be hard to replace it after spending so much time and $ on it. Id fix it but its to each his own.
