LOL So basically, you don't have to floor it to "floor it" anymore.

    Give me a break.

Before everytone starts bashing this part, know that it really does do something. Originally intended for Turbo applications, it does indeed help with turbo spool and fueling at lower rpms and throttle inputs. I run one on my turbo buick but the threshold is 70%. The turbo spools faster and allows the motor to make more power before triggering the transmission to upshift to a lower gear while on the fly.

That being said, putting that on a non turbo application is basically useless. Now you guys can laugh at the company trying to apply this to a typical V8. Fuel economy will suffer and throttle response will be far less linear.

        Great idea, bad application.

Im not trying to be arguementative or anything like that. How does it help the turbo to spool faster? Only higher exhaust pressures (or different impeller blade angles) make the turbo spool faster. It seems that the PCM would just be falsely richening the mixture. Unless, you have the boost cranked up and coming in sooner and then need the PCM to compensate......

But yea.... I couldnt figure how that would do anything on a naturally aspirated motor.

Yup. Nothing is really stock anymore except a few accessories. I have a couple of band aid devices like that because I really need a better program but haven't been able to get it dyno tuned properly. I still run a couple of mail order tuned chips, one for street and another for race but also rely on a 7th injector at the moment due to the need for the mentioned dyno tune. Ditto for the trans shift points and such. I've got to spend some time (and $$) this fall to get everything 100% the right way.

So yeah, it is still a band aid.
