I'm looking at possibly tweaking the suspension on my 93 Z. It needs to be comfortable on the road still, but handle well if need be. Would the SLP Billsteins be good or another be better? Or would stock be just fine? Also, I need to replace the bulbs for the fog lamps. Any suggestions on how to do it?

I just installed the SLP Level 1 Bilstein/Eibach suspension on my 95 just over a month ago and love it!!! It has a very good ride on the highway but will also corner nice and flat with the progressive springs and 1LE sway bars (front is part of the pkg but I ordered the rear as well).

Don't expect much from the SLP pkg if you want to drop the car....you will see about a 1/2" drop cuz remember this was an OEM type setup offered by SLP on their cars and not everyone would want it to be lowered.
In other words....if you want to drop the car significantly 1.5-2" go for another pkg.95 Z28, A4, 3.23's and some other stuff....

You might want to indicate the specific uses of the car... do you ever drag race, auto-X, just looking for decent road handling, combination of these....... might affect the choice of components.
I can give you suggestions on drag racing setups, others can help with the auto-X stuff.

I don't want to lower the vehicle at all really. The stock height is fine and she has to perform well in everyday driving, but I want the handling ability there should I need it. If the SLP package doesn't really drop it at all, then I might consider it, except that I want Spohn LCAs and panhard rod. I was originally just thinking about the SLP shocks and the stock springs, but was unsure.Steve

Ok, thanks guys. I've still gotta throw around the idea in my head a little, but I feel more confident now in leaving the stock springs. Thanks.Steve

I just bought the SLP 1LE along with the rear 21mm sway bar because my suspension is shot after 100.000 miles. I still need to install it so I can't verify that it will do what I want. However, it sounds as though this package would give you what you need, and still keep the car "stock" enough for comfortable daily driving and great open road performance. I am going to use the kit's trailing arms and the panhard rod for now since they were part of the price, but I will buy the BMR adjustable components along with the front K-Member and control arms when I do my motor in a few years. Is there a particular reason you want the Spohn LCSs and Panhard rod? Is there a certain deficiency that you are making up with these components? What do you use the car for? Daily Road Performance, Autocross, Drag Racing? etc.?'77 K5 rock-crawler project

I'm adding the Spohn parts because of the tubular design, which I have seen to hold up better than the boxed design of most other companies. The car drives fine, but I prefer to have the suspension a little stronger than it may need. For the most part, its just a daily driver...for now.Steve
