  • gas milage

okay i know what your thinkin....if i need to ask this then i cant afford it..you see i havent had a camaro since i was 16 and that was an 82 Z28 with the t-roof and a 3spd very hard on gas.but now im lookin into a 94-97 with the LT1 and a six speed so some ruff estimates on gas milage would be great..i really want a camaro again but with all the bills now i dont want to cut myself short and not have enough for improvments to the car if you know what i mean....sorry so so long thanks in advance

    very confusing..
you havent had a z28, or have. huh? haha..

anyways, yeah. you'll get much better gas mileage, ofcourse, because a 3 speed would be pretty rough on gas, especially if you drive quick or highway driving.

With my 93 and the stock 3.23s, I've seen about 17 and 25 with some throttle pushin'. Def. much better than with a 3 spd. auto. Good luck man.

An LT1 in a good state of tune with a 6 speed should pull down anywhere between 22-28 mpg on the highway and 15-20 in the city, depending on your driving style. The faster you go and the quicker your launches, of course the worse your gas mileage.

I dont know if this helps but I just took a trip this long weekend and drove about 550 miles. I went through just over a tank of gas on the whole trip. And most of this driving was being done from 70-80 mph.
