  • Falken tire opinions.....

I have seen on ebay great deals on Falkan tires, are they crap or a decent tire for the money.
    Thanks

If you can't wait for opinions, you can read previous post about Falken's.

        I didn't like them

I installed a set of 245/50/16 Falken "performance" tires on my 95 Trans-Am back in 1997 and I was very unhappy with them. Specifically, they were just as bad in the rain as the factory Goodyears RSA's were, and they weren't all that great on dry roads either. They are still on a set of 16" rims that I have languishing in my garage, since switching to 17" WS6 wheels.

I'm currently running the new Bridgestone Fuzion ZRi tires (275/40/17) and I'm quite happy with them. They weren't that great on the road course, but what did I expect for new, fully treaded street tires....

I had a set that came with some wheels i purchased over the net. As mentioned, they are a middle of the road tire with fairly decent wear, but not alot of grip. For a cheap tire, you get what you pay for.

mid line perf. tire. not real good traction.
poor belt package/tread stablization characteristics, which means you cant hang on tight corners that well.

tread rubber has a tendency to harden rapidly with hard driving habits... then traction falls way off.
