OK my friend just got a blower so he doesnt need his old moroso cai. So he gave it to me but i noticed that i can just fit the filter into the mass air flow sensor. Is this bad or could i do this and there would be no problem. I notice that there is a vacum house (i think it is a vacum hose) but if i just hook that up to a breather taht would be ok. Would this provide any poer output other than just having that cai or what. Kinda confused.

Bad idea. The reason for a cold air induction is to bring in cold air from the outside, not from the hot engine bay. It makes a HUGE difference...when mine's at idle for a few minutes (after I just started it up), the valve covers get hot, the heads & exhaust are hot, but if you touch the intake manifold it is cold...colder than it was not running. It's unbelievable until you try this. You'll also notice this when you are driving on the freeway and feel the intake manifold right after. Of course, when you're sitting in traffic on a hot day, it's a different story.94 Black T/A GT, Advanced Induction 355, 3200 stall, built 4L60E, Moser 9", Baer Brakes, Shooting for 11s...
