will Ls-1 headers fit in my 67??

Can any1 tell me if Ls-1 headers will fit in my 1967 camaro, since theirs a 1998 ls1 motor about to be droped in it. will it clear the firewall and any other things that might be in the way, and are their any other issues i should be looking into? thanks.

I have a old Car Craft magazine that dealt with dropping an LS1 in a first gen. Let me see if I can find it. Give me just a minute.

Well, I found the magazine. This is what it says:

Exhaust Manifolds and Headers

Stock LS1 exhaust manifolds, off either a Corvette or Camaro/Firebird, work perfectly in the earlier Camaro bodies with no modification. If you're looking for more power and that distinctive header sound, Street and Performance (among many others) offers headers that fit.


There is a whole article on this swap in the May 2004 issue of Car Craft. If you want any more info, just ask and I'll post what it says.

so im guessing Ls1 headers dont fit, this sux, wonder how much those headers cost, well thanks alot my friend has that issue of car craft im gonna go pick it up, thanks.
