SES problem only after 70-80mph

It never fails, after I go past 60-80 my SES light comes on.. but the next time i turn on my car its not on.. I dont feel any problems... my idle is kinda high at 900 -1000 rpms.. and sometimes it doesnt go anywhere when i stomp the gas, then jumps into 5k rpm rage.. Dont ask me why dont I go to a mechanic and get the computer on it, answer: I dont have the money and wont for a very long time. Just give me a list of things i could check... I've gotten so far.. new borg warner spark plug set, new spark plugs, trying to fix that rough idle
