  • Sub Box install

Anybody have any pictures of their Sub Box install. The boy child has transferred his Sub Box into the GO FAST. It seems like the only spot is on the folded down back seat. Any other ideas?

The most popular is in the hatch area where the T-Tops go, there are some boxes made to fit without losing storage, and some take up the whole area.

no offense man but that screams STEAL ME about as loud as you can. you can take a sealed or ported Qlogic dual 10 or 12" sub box from best buy, and lay it right under the cargo cover on top of the t top holders and never see it when the hatch is closed. go to a stereo shop and "test fit" a few boxes. thats probably the best way to do it with out a loss in sound or a back window when some one wants it more than you do.

If you want a single sub, the stealthbox that goes in the cubby hole on the drivers side is perfect. I didn't think it would be enough for me (14 years of car audio experience), but it gets down pretty well.

Dual subs, you can either go with 2 stealthboxes, one in the above spot, and one that goes where your spare tire is now, if you're interested in losing the spare but keeping t-top storage. Otherwise, a dual sub enclosure that is removable in the t-top area.

Multiple subs. I personally have a box that slides in my t-top area for 3-10"s. They make them for 4-10"s, and you could have one built for 3-15"s if you want. Then there's always "The Wall", my personal favorite, where you trade in all your go-fast stuff for enough bass to blow the t-tops out of the roof and lay the windshield on the hood

Thanx for the help, I've always wanted the exhaust to be LOUD, not necessarily the tunes.

keeping t-tops or not would be one question, then like mentioned before the spare tire is the other question. I ran a sponsored car from bazooka for 3 years on team bazooka and have number of years of experience on this car as well. did not look at pics on the previously mentioned car but will look in a minute. but if cost is not a factor and you want some good bass, and do not mind some hidden modification with the least amt of weight added. get you some focal 6 inch, or JL subwoofers and put them where the b piller is. you seal up the b piller a couple of different ways and slightly modify under the big huge plastic panal..and you got plenty of room in that hole too much for the 6 inch subs. but when you seal it you seal it to your liking of bass. meaning tune it to your vas, qts and such. that is the most stealth sub application i have done for a customer before. but did not take pictures of it to share and it pounded pretty hard too. equivelant to one 12" in the hatch. approx 136 db i beleive we got from them when tuning and testing the system. hope this helps your setup. Oh and stealthbox is a great setup, they make a more cost effecient one too called advantage box, and mtx makes a thunderform which hits harder but not as clean sounding. then of course you can get custom in the back like many have mentioned.

oh, forgot to mention the bazooka thing..LOL, find a couple of dvc tubes and you can mount them on the rear deck with common sense in mind of the gas tank, but i normally ran 4 dvc subs on the rear deck in custom alluminum pollished brackets firing towards the rear of the car. but you could just run one, sideways, and so on in cornor loading them best as possible. but i sanded mine down primed and put a 3 way paint on them, so they looked dark blue, black, but when the sun hit you seen some silver pearl effect in it to match the theme of the car in audio competition. but for you just for kicks get the same color paint clear coat as the car and makes a nice look and you can take it out easily when racing or making car lighter. just my opinions

here's probably your 2 best options:

                  JL Audio

                  Subthump

both of these options will allow you to keep your T-Top storage
