I'm in DC right now...

I'm in Herndon right now for business...and I'm actually gonna have a few days extra and just want to know areas I can visit and see....never been here before so I want to soak in as much as I can...

Going into DC over the weekend...and see the river and stuff...anything I should keep my eyes open for or gotta go see...?

There is that one huge museum i thinks its called the Smithsonian or someting. Its likda cool. I havent been there in like 5 year or so. The holocaust museum is also a must to see. The Vietman memorial too. There are a ton of places to see.

Anything on the mall. Just take the metro rail in and take the smithsonian stop. If congress is in session you can go see that for free. Actually, just about everything at the mall is free. The IMAX theater at the Air and Space museum is really something else! Here's a quick map:

use metro for everything. parking is nada downtown.

i dont live close by...i live in Stafford, 52 miles south... but i work in Crystal City...right by National Airport. thats one place you might think about going. its all connected underground, by shops, everything you can think of.......and there is a metro stop for it.....
