Alright, i'm gonna explain this as best i can. I am about to recieve a flowmaster original 40 series 2.5 single in 2.5 dual out. (Its free so no complaints here) So i want to get a cat back done using that muffler, will i be able to mount it the way its supposed to be mounted or will i have to mount it like the crossflow? I want the duals to come out on opposite ends like they do stock, and it will be easier to do that if its mounted the way its designed. (I plan on doing the exhaust my self) Thanks for any advice.

i am pretty sure that the camaro mufflers were made special to allow the inlet and one outlet to be on the same side, using a regular muffler with an inlet on one side, and dual outlets on the other side, may not do what you will want it to. i think it will be extreemly loud on the passenger side pipe, and really quiet on the drivers side. or it may work fine. who knows

As much as I hate to say it, I don't think you'll be able to use it. Space underneath would be a big concern, along with what azkkn was saying about the flow. If you don't want a crossflow muffler, get a single in/out for the I-pipe and fab the tailpipes, similar to the LoudMouth.

Well I'm getting the muffler free from a friend, he bought a new one and the one he is giving me is single in dual out but not crossflow, I was just trying to make sure that i would be able to mount it the way i want to. I don't really want to mount it like the crossflow i want it to mount parallel with the car not perpendicular (for ease of tailpipe fabrication). But if it can't then i will mount it like the crossflow. Its kind of hard to explain on here, but i think i got a pretty good idea of what i'm gonna do. If i can get it to mount right(when ever i do it) i'll let you guys know.
