  • New exhaust with Fast Toys Chrome tips

Here is my new Exhaust. It is the Dynomax super turbo. I can't do anything like anybody else. Dynomax call it a cat back but it's really just the muffler, tailpipes, and dual dual chrome tips. I saw these tips on Fast Toys web site and said that's it. Looks sorta stock but nicer. The Dynomax has 2.5 inch tail pipes and the tips had 2.5 inlets. Perfect. The square tips were shorter than the dual duals so I had to get an extension piece and cut it to get the length right. The sound is deep and smooth but not too loud. Sounds like an old muscle car. Lots of people turn to see what's coming now. I'm happy!

LOL I post the pictures and notice the right tailpipe is too far to the center of the car so I go out and measure it and sure enought, 2" off. Well, back under the car I go.

Well I learned something new today. The right rear frame rail is a couple of inches in further than the left rear frame rail. I lined up the exhaust with the frames and the right side was 3" further in than the left. Well after wrestling with it for the last several hours, I got the right pipe as far out as it will go and the left pipe as far in as it will go and the right one is still 1" closer in than the left one. The right one is about 1/4" from the spare tire protrusion and the left side is about 1/4" from the depp well protrusion where the t-tops go. I can't get it any closer to center. I went and looked at the stock pipe and the left one has some funky bends in it. Oh well. It is what it is. As we say at work, "close enough for government work".

Oh yeah....schwank! Just get some stainless polish and it'll be look'n great....

I always liked the stock rectangular tips, but was never really big on the blacked out look....

Just polish them at least every other week and they'll stay looking good.
