AWSOME TransAm running borla's(have a ? about the mufflers)

Ok I heard a 2001 ls-1 TransAm ripping thru the gears this thing was a monster i saw him destroy a subaru wrx "sti" (the sti didnt sound stock)awsome stuff anyway i chase the guy down and congratulated him on his win and then asked him wut he had under the hood.. he didnt tell me..(i wonder y... ::cough:: nos)so i ask what mufflers hes running and he has 2 chamber borla's, that thing sounded sweeeet.. and i want that on my car soo bad. but anyway i was wondering something, ive been told that at low rpm's borlas are quieter than other aftermarket mufflers and u can barely hear them, is this true?? cuz i do come home late alot and 3 cops live on my street and they really hate loud cars.

"two chamber borlas"......thats a new one.

go to the borla site and it explains how the system works. do a search on google (www.google.com) for the addy. i never realy liked the system myself... un even exhaust dispearsment in my book.....

the slp loudmouth puts it to shame. just my 2 centavos.

i have the borla adjustable catback on my car and i'm pleased w/ the sound. It is more quiet than other exhausts I've heard (loudmouth) at low rpms. Mine was on the car when i bought it so i can't tell u how much it costs. But I've been told that you can adjust the sound by putting different screens in the right outlet. I checked mine the other night to see if the previous owner had a screen in it and it didn't.Hope this helps

hi i fitted a cat back borla to my 93 formula but i also fitted a qtp valve to it which replaces the adjuster plates with a electric butterfly valve so you can poen and close the exhaust from in the car ie just befor you get to your street. i have been told by a guy that folowed me thru a tunnel that it sounded like the world had ended have fun and check out the quick time performance web site
