OK I have a one wheel wonder and the right tire is the only one that lights up. I have TCS (and A4) and I heard that the TCS kills the clutches in the posi unit. Is this true? How much does it cost to get new clutches and to install? If i got new clutches would this fix my problem? I was also really considering some new gears soon. I wanted to do 3.42 or 3.73's. Is there an easy and cheap way to get this all done at once? I really need some help on this? Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

not since I've bought it I am not sure about the previous owner. I've had the car since april and have put only 2000 miles on the 35k on the clock now. When i blew my tranny the transmission shop told me that It looked like someone was into the rear end because the cover was put back on with blue silicone? I guess i have to take it back to see whats really going on. any thoughts?

Maybe someone changed the fluid and forgot to add the posi additive?

Try changing it and adding the proper GM additive.

This was the first thing I thought as well when I read that the cover was previously removed.

Like Tracy said, try changing the fluid with a coventional gear lubricant (don't recommend using a synthetic with a posi-trac) and add the GM posi aditive GM part # 1052358. This friction modifier is neccesary for the posi clutches to function properly.
