I have a 94 Formula w/ a rebuilt engine. it has gone through 3 optisparks with in 3-4 months (last one was a rotor) and my cars not working again. I was drving it the other day and the car was bogging down. i get 2 my house and try to start it again. it wont start. i mess with the optispark sensor wiring harness and it starts. i then let the car idle and just barley touch it and needless to say it just dies. i take the wire out and make sure the connectosn are good and everhing and it runs good for a week or so, and like 2 weeks ago i go to start my car and it runs horrible. it barely idles, smells of backfire and then just dies. from that point on it wont start. i pulled the coil wire out and see it it sparks and it doesnt. im almost 99% sure that the harness is good, but i was wondering if there are any test i can do to see it its sending signal to the igntion module. is there anyway to check if the iginiton module is good? i have 2 coils and no of them make spark so that rules out the coil pretty much. any suggestions on what it could be? my first problem i guess is to get the coil to spark.
