  • NFB - Halliburton - the real story.

My wife started quoting all these facts about how V.P. Cheney gave Halliburton preferential treatment and how unethical it all was. I didnt have any facts to refute her alligations, so I did some research and found this sweet little article that pretty much justifies everything that happenned with Halliburton.

Next time you hear a liberal spouting off about the corrupt corporate greed and the vice president, stuff this article down their throat. Here is what really happenned. Here are the facts that the liberal press leaves out to make the story sound incriminating. Once you have all the facts, there is no story.

That is a good unbiased article. Henry Waxman is a prime example of the expressed weaknesses in the liberal campaign of jealousy and greed. Liberals nearly always resort to nitpicking at an agreement between a military operation and a major contractor. LOGCAP works and it was not founded to provide a monopoly type empowerment amongst the contractually binding parties as Waxman so believes.

As certain as conservatives will continue to strive and push to make this country better and to do the right thing, you can also be certain that there will be just as many liberals, if not more, who are doing their best to undermine those very good-doings by the conservatives just in the name of the obviously inherant glory and greed on behalf of the liberal's ways.

I'm sitting here in the office trying to work, and all these liberal babies around me are nitpicking everything about the debates and the Bush administration. They are saying Bush should had been DQ'd from the debate because he was seen unfolding a little piece of paper while approaching the podium. Some guy just said "they are all liars and thieves". They are saying that in the debate last night the VP knowingly LIED about having never met Edwards before. He most likely did not remember. It is easy for Edwards to recall meeting the vice president, but not so easy for the vice president to remember every senator he briefly encounters. Cheney's point stands:Edwards was frequently absent from votes.

Why do liberals nitpick the crap out of little meaningless complaints? Why cant they see the big picture, like the Halliburton article I posted above?
CRYBABIES!! it makes me sick. These people sitting around me have a seriously unhealthy hatred for Bush. The crap the oozes from their mouthes all day is nausiating. Help get me out of here! One of them said the other day that you would have to be a mental midget to vote for bush.

I'm a contractor in an environment of state FTEs. I cant say a thing to anyone for fear of losing my contract. I have to stay neutral and it frustrates me to no end to have to sit here and bite my tongue. I would just love to return fire. I could obliterate these idiots. GGGRRRRRRRRR

I have an idea, Tracy...just print a few copies of Kevin's post above and anonymously put a copy on each of thier desks while they aren't looking. That ought to get the point across! Well said, Kevin, well said.
Let's face it, the liberals are grasping at straws, trying to win this election any way they can. Edwards looked like a bumbling idiot at times during the debate while Cheney was calm, cool, collected and very professional. It was like watching a 15 year old punk try to argue with the English teacher everyone in the school likes. I DO NOT want the that moron to EVER have the possibility of EVER gaining the presidency if Kerry were to win and then piss someone off enough to kill his Frankenstein self. And if they try to kill Kerry, let's hope they are a good shot, cause I would hate for Kerry to be able to petition for another purple heart because he stubbed his little toe while running away, pushing people in the path of the bullet screaming "EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!!" jk

I feel compelled to repond - all you 'dub-ya' boys are getting a bit much to take!

                Here's my twist on -

                Politics/candidates:

Politicians/candidates are full of 'it'. They lie. They can't do all the things they say they can do because, fortunately for all of us, our system is not one of a dictatorship.

The key is to vote for the individual that you believe is the lesser of two evils.

                Bush vs. Kerry:

I don't care who you are, what party affiliation you claim, who your daddy or wife is - if you're screwing up, it's time to go. Well, Georgie-boy, it's time to go. No WMD's, Osama's a$$ still not on the 'platter', $2.00/gal gas, jobs outsourced overseas, shrinking middle class,...

If any of this is the waa-waa, -baby stuff referred to in earlier posts - so be it.

Just MHO - have a nice day!

Very typical anti-Bush blather. Plenty of whining, without any alternatives offered. I am not a Bush fan club member, only a person with similar priorities for national security and economics. High taxes, marriage penalties, excessive litigation (from lawyers like the Johns), and misguided environmental policies (MTBE) are what's crushing the middle clash.

I too favor the Libertarian platform in an idealistic way. Unfortunately it makes 2 HUGE assumptions: that America in the 21st century could return to an isolationist position (not realistic with our extensive global associations) and that the majority of Americans could handle FULL personal responsibility for their actions (they can't).

Everything about the whiney liberal position is hypocritical:
-Protect our forests (even though we have the finest land managers in the world), but it is ok to rape other countries natural resources for our fancy Hollywood mansions.
-Lower our dependence on foreign oil, but NO offshore rigs or Alaska drilling.
-Lower greenhouse gasses with Hydrogen powered cars, - but I'm too stupid to know that Hydrogen production takes huge amounts of energy that currently comes from fossil fuel burning plants.
-No atomic energy because the waste is dangerous, even though our best solution (fusion) will come sooner through rapid technology development.
-Cheneys tied to Haliburton, but I ignore all the rich liberals that made big money on stocks / big business. Since when is bad to be successful in business in a capitalist economy

I could add to this list forever.

TraceZ: Good for keeping to yourself at work. There is a time and place for everything and their attitudes speak volumes about them. Good example, I know a guy who is currently unemployed for a long time now. You can't say five words with him, without the Bush hate speech oozing out of him. I would bet a hundred bucks that this guy can't get through an interview (and he is educated and experienced) without spewing his not my president, Bush stole my job and the election, no WMDs, crud. Regardless of the person who is interviewing him, they see this as non-professional behavior. He is currently a degreed Barista working for my wife at Starbucks

Complaining is NOT an alternate plan of action. Notice early in the debate last night, Edwards got a very direct question and never answered. Would Saddam be in power right now if you had been in the Whitehouse. A yes or no question without an answer in 2 minutes of drivel.

This mentality is enough to make my brain hemmorrhage. To generalize every man or womans character based upon their occupation or choice of career is simply ludacris. Unfortunately this is just typical for liberal Bush haters and for those who don't have the capacity and the depth to appreciate a good leader when they have one.

So let me get this straight. The key to executing our demcratical system is for those who vote to completely ignore a specific candidates positve agenda and/or personal convictions and to make our vote based upon who has the least amount of relative faults?

The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, The New York Times, and Forbes are all still continuing to report that the economy is steadily bettering. Unemployment is STILL going down and at an all time low, the industrial economy is STILL strengthening, home ownership is at an all time high, the private sector is spending more money withinn the reatail market, the current interest rates are reflective of more people spending money, and retail sales are steadily and have been climbing.

These speak in multitudes about a President and his adminstration that is actually doing their job and doing it well.

Keep in mind that George W. and his administration are doing all of this while we are at war!!

Forbes even published an interesting article that showed a detailed investigation that showed that the nation's unemployment rate has been consistently lower that that of President Clinton. And to think, this has been a claim to fame among your liberal babies for some time now.

                      1 at a time

No WMD's. Not true at all. 1 saran gas mortar and ~10 mustard gas shells. All banned WMD's found in Iraq. Case closed. Weapons found.

Osama. Nobody knows if there is even an a$$ left to put on a platter.

$2.00/gal gas has absolutely nothing to do with Iraq or Bush. The price of gas is going up because of supply and demand. People in the US are buying more SUV's and full size pickups which use more gas. But more than that, China's demand for gasoline has doubled in the last 7 years. A lot of these 3rd world countries are needing more gas and are willing to pay more to get it. Neither Bush or Kerry can do a darn thing about the demand by other countries. What they can do is find more at home. Sean 94Z28 has it right on. We need to drill for more oil in north bumble bleep Alaska where even the caribou don't go. You are not going to get that from Kerry. He panders to the environmentalist groups for votes. Voting for Kerry is not going to lower gas prices. He once voted to raise the tax on gasoline $.50 a gallon. I guarantee he will make that situation worse.

jobs outsourced overseas is a complicated issue and it's not what the democrats are trying to lead you to believe. Most of the outsourcing is related to lower paying jobs that people in the US are refusing to take because the pay is so low. Textile mills is the perfect example of that. That is just to complicated and I don't have the time to explain it.

shrinking middle class,... I don't know what you are talking about.

The WMD's were there and you know it. Sean and I like to refer to this as the drug dealer analogy.

If your local police department was preparing to raid a known drug dealers house to attempt to recover the drugs and arrest the dealer, it is with certainty that word would get out on the street and the dealer will have plenty of time to move or destroy the drugs.

Saddam knew the UN inspectors were coming long before they showed up on his doorstep.

Furthermore, 100% of the autopsy toxicology reports performed on the 1000's of dead Iraqi's by pathologists of various nationalities confirmed that their deaths occured from exposure to lethal amounts of biological agents from a WMD.

50% of us out there think otherwise, there is no majority support for Bush, and don't tell me it's the same for kerry, he has not been in office for 4 years. Here's my take on this, I dont like the man's leadership and what he has accomplished in 4 years, i dont judge him casue he looks like a "chimp" or "frankenstein", my right to vote, lets me choose to have another leader in that seat, taking a different approach. Kerry not the strongest character, but someone different.

                              Blatantly untrue.

If you are making the illogical reference to potassium nitrate which is common among gunpowder and horse manure, you are unmistakibly confused.

There are specific chemicals that pathologists test for when looking for signs of exposure to biological WMD and specific enzymes that are released by the body after exposure to such gases as mustard and seran.

For example, one of the first things a pathologist will look for in the dead body is cellular degeneration due to the sulfonium ionic exposure that it is exclusively represented by the exposure to mustard gas. And this is just one of the hundreds of sign of exposure to mustard gas. Horse manure and/or gunpowder obviously lack the capacity to do such specific cellular damage.

Because of the vesicant nature of chemical warfare gases such as these, there are also the common flesh symtoms of exposure to mustard gas such as blisters, severe inflammation of the eyelids, blindness, severs topical damage to the respiratory system, and sometime even pulmonary adema. Also of which your horse manure or gunpowder theory will produce.
