Our Hawk is for Sale

Welp...da time has come folks. We have made up our minds. Mary loves the Envoy...and with our rescue operations we each need our own SUV. She does not drive the Hawk anymore hardly at all..and has no desire to...and it makes no sense for us to have 2 fbods AND 2 SUVs...

The Comp T/A will stay with us...and she can be my co-pilot at events.

We dont expect to sell the Hawk to anyone on these forums, as we all know yall already have awesome f-bodies.... but please let anyone you know that may be looking for a flawless 97 Lt1 powered Firehawk, the last one built in 97..the last LT1 powered Firehawk built! that this is it.........

I wish I could buy that for my wife. But, then I'd be jealous of how good it looks. Oh well, I'd have to be content that mine's faster. In case I come across anyone that's intersted, how much are you asking?

if your mod list is true......i got a suprise for ya..... yours aint faster all kiddin aside... this is one of those "1 in 1000" lt1's that came from the factory "just right". when both our cars were stock... i wouldnt race her... i could tell driving it that i'd loose with the compTA 6 speed. folks that have riddin in the car are very surprised. it still does a strong chirp third too. it squats and hooks unreal. its taken out many stang..old and new...... and also a few cobras got trampled. corners like its on rails. on a dual cat lt1... the extruded manifolds ony provide 4hp less than headers.

not posting the price on line . too many dweebs will jump in and start chit...and they aren't even interested in the car.

price will be available monday afternoon. im for some input from some gm friends of mine that know "true pricing" per model statistics..etc.

Ken, You know what I think and how I feel about that Hawk. I'm only about ½ way recovered from the divorce or I would jump on it. In what I've paid out over the last couple of years, I could have already paid ya for it. At the moment, I could only hope it finds a good home. That's one desirable car.

I have to agree with you on the other topic. I've got one of those freak LT-1s too. 13.29s at 105.xx with the ported manifolds. Stock heads, cam, rockers, 3.73s, stock converter. I've suprised quite a few LS1s. Funny thing is when I was shopping, this car had been sitting on a lot in a mostly senior citizen area. All they wanted were their moving land barges, the younger generation didn't have the dough in this area so the car sat for a few months. I originally wanted something other than black.... I was a little burned out on the color. Everything of late that I owned was black. The GN,a Crew Cab Dually, a Vette, and so on. I just wanted a little color for a change. Oh well, once i drove it, I knew it was quicker than any of the other LT-1s I had driven. Who knows why, but this one seemed so right. So I struck a deal and the car was just retired from daily use with 124K miles of pure pleasure once I fixed a few bugs. The bugs like the rear end rotating around at WOT on a gear change. Stickier tires and some suspension tweaks cured that.

Anyway, best of luck in finding a suitable home for the bird.
