    No kidding man. Heck, if I had the budget for one of the Hennessy Vipers, my Z would be friggen fast. I won't even go into the GN. I've seen guys take a GN into the 11s from bone stock on $1500. No way would I pay $162,000 for a car, minus a Porsche that is .

      It's not the speed that most people that buy these cars are interested.

      It's prestige, so they can tell everybody and their dog that they drive a bimmer or a Mercedes

      Image is everything

        Is that the cost of just the car, or is that including profits that the people make by selling the cars. It can cost you $3,000 for mods but most people will charge an extra $10,000 for profits. They still gotta make money off of it.

          I read the article too - man I would love to have the Mallett CTS-V - what a sleeper. Although it would probably be hard to hide the exhaust noise!

            Man, they make it a killing! True day about the people who drives these cars...most of them probably don't even know how to change their oil...but then again, if you can afford these machines, who needs to change it themselves???

            Personally when I see these cars on the road...I'm like whatever...

            There is no car I'd pay that much for...that's a small house in GA for ing out loud!!!!

            I'd take my TA anyday...I guess to some image is everything.

              I couldn't agree more. It's for people that um....lack something.....somewhere (if you get what i'm saying) and need attention to make up for it. It's to make their friends say "wow". Same reason my dad bought the Viper. It was blue with white stripes and pretty much gave you no choice but to look at it. People love to be flashy.

                If I was rich and could just throw money away, i would do the same thing. And i'm pretty sure you guys would do the same. But of course you still gotta have the car you trully love
