  • Newbie Questions...

I have only had my car about a month and I am still trying to learn more about the car... so I will be wanting everyones expertise. SO I will try and keep my questions to 3 at a time

    1. I had a guy tell me that on 95 Z28s the rear view mirrors are black.. mine are GREEN.

    2. Are the sunvisors on a convertible a different size then on another model?

    3. I am wanting to buy a USED CAI for about 100-120 shipped. what should I look for before saying "yes I will buy it"

    thanks for any help.

    1) they were black along with the roof unless the option for "monochromatic body trim" was ordered. Then they were body color.

    2) no

    3) it is just a bunch of plastic parts. Make sure they are all there. Ask for a picture of them. Also ask about the condition of the filter and if a recharge kit is included.

Look for RPO D82 on your build tag (door edge, console or glove box). That was the "monochromatic roof option", no-charge, which also included body color mirrors.

There are a number of sites scattered around the I'net.... this one is pretty good:

            http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/9302rpocodes

There are a number of F-Body books that identify the differences from year to year, the options, costs, numbers made, etc.: "Camaro White Book": "Firebird Red Book"; "Illustrated Buyer's Guide - Camaro"; "Illustrated Buyer's Guide - Firebird".
