  • Convertible Top replacement........

    Has anyone ever replaced their own ragtop,I can find hem online for around $300 or so.
    How hard would this be.

    I've asked the same question and not gotten anywhere with it. I dont think anyone has taken the time to do a good documented how-to quite yet.

    I'd love to see it.

      u can do it urself..i dont belive there any special tools BUT it will take a while..and itl be very very tedious i would just see how much a shop would charge and go from there..some things i find are just cheaper to let someone else do it. it would suck to get almost all the way done then forget one thing and have the tops frame tear the top apart when u tried to fold it up

        Most shops want $700 including the top to do the job. There is a process that involves stapling and glueing and thats the sticky spot I think, I cant imagine the rest of it being that difficult.
