Opinions on Mufflers

Well, I've come to the conclusion that I hate my Flowmaster cat-back. It was installed by the previous owner, and at first it sounded great, but now 11 months later it sounds more like a truck (and, Flowmasters are VERY popular down here, almost every truck or car has "dual exhaust" ). I need something different. The only problem is that I don't currently have the money for Hooker headers and cat-back, which I will get eventually and at the same time.

So, basically, all I'm looking for is a decent 2.5" muffler that will sound better and a little louder than Flowmaster, but not like open headers. I've been considering a Dynomax bullet, but I'm just not sure how loud it will be. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if they make them for a Third Gen., but check out ATR. I've heard their Pit Bull systems on GNs and it sounds awesome, so I'd give them a shot. SLP sells the Two-On-The-Left system if you just want something that sounds good. Also, have you tried to see if the local shops stock anything besides Flowmaster? Just some suggestions. No, I haven't been to any local shops. All I'm wanting to do (for now) is just replace the muffler, not the whole cat-back system. I'm seriously leaning towards getting a Dynomax bullet, a 90* bend, and a turndown right before the rear bumper. I just don't want to sound like an import, or a truck, anymore.
