    Cheapest I have found. Anybody know where I can get this cheaper? My insurance is going way down soon, because I'm storing the camaro and they're going to take the collision coverage off, which will save me a lot. I only pay comprehensive.

    I should have some extra cash to play with.

    dont buy that if your looking to make real power out of your lt-1. The lt-4 conversion is a little out dated when you consider that you could buy better heads and cams for the money

      Edelbrock heads and cam package

      There is a new performance package for the LT1 at edelbrock.

        I heard edelbrock heads suck. Castings aren't that great either. That's just what I've read. I was going to buy the LT4 heads and have work done on them.

        What would be a good head/cam/intake combo that would make more power than the LT4?

          Not sure on the cam, but if you want a good set of heads look at AFR. Not cheap, but supposed to be extremely good.

            Yeah I checked them out... It just seems like the LT4 is a great bang for the buck. I mean, complete conversion kit with assembled heads, cam, intake, gaskets, etc... It just seems like a great upgrade for the money. Only 2 grand. AFR heads are going to run almost 2K alone. Then I need a cam, and I'm going to want to upgrade my intake. I have made up my mind

            LT4 heads, going to take them to my head guy and see what he can do for me. LT4 Hot cam, LT4 intake. I'll go from there, this will give me a stronger base powerplant. Should put me in the 12's after suspension and exhaust mods.

              There is a reason they cost that much though. Plus, in order to see the power that they claim with the kit, you'll also need a new throttle body, PCM recal. plus some other stuff. It is a good price, but if the power is more important I'd wait and collect the stuff over the months. Just my 2 cents.
