  • Keep getting messed with by an... import!

Well first let me all tell you how this whole thing started........ it must have been about 3 weeks ago i had rolled my car out into the driveway(my baby is a a transplant) so i can clean out my garage, and i had the radio blasting when i hear some loud obnoxious noise coming from outside and i look and what do i see??? a Blue R-32 Vw Golf reving at me!, at first i was like wtf is that lil thing... but then the guy works up the balls to say the worst thing i have ever heard.... "V8's Suck"..... i could not belive my ears, i was in shock and then he goes on to pop his clutch out and chirps the tires as he speeds off. as i see him speeding off, which it was moving pretty quickly down the street, i look at "nikki"(my camaro) and i tell her that we have to blow the doors off his techno loving a$$, no one messes with my baby and gets away with it.... so then like 2 weeks ago he drives by again when im working on the car and he revs at me again and just rolls by and looks at me..... and then like 5days ago he drives by again! and nods his head like hes saying "no" and rolls by..... and then finally yesterday im helping my friend swap his gas tank in his 88 stang at my house and he stops and says to me "so u want to race me" and i tell him "yea wait till that blue car is done and i show you what v8's do to rice", hehehe... so once i get that Ls-1 in...it's all over for buddy. Ive done a bit of research and that car has a 3.2L vr6 6cylinder motor pushing 240HP and 236 ft-lbs @ 2800-3200rpm, and it has a 6speed transmission and guess what... it's Awd... thats a pretty good set up on that lil car, i didnt find any specs on what it runs in the 1/4 or 0-60 what it weighs or any other facts, the only thing is that a while back friend of mine talked to him about me and he said he would only race me on spray..... so now all of a sudden he wants to race??? so im thinking hes on spray, but from what i can tell the car is stock no turbo nothing but im not 100% sure its got a loud sounding exhaust but im pretty sure its stock. well ill be posting updates on this matter so any info from you guys will be kool with me well take care guys

Race him at the track so you can take advantage of a full quarter mile (plus its safe). AWD is hard to beat in a short sprint.

R32's are decent but overrated to hell. They're heavier than you'd think, too.

The R32's are sold in the U.S.? I thought they were just a european car. If your not racing for money, tell him to man up and not use spray. I personally don't like nitrous, unless i was racing for money. Or if you go to the track, and you race hime over and over again, he'll run out and you can get a fair race. Well good luck with it

You don't need to take it personally, I just said I don't like nitrous. I feel its not really your car running that...its the nitrous. Only because its not always on. Now if you are putting up money or slips, i thinks its a totally different story.

What the hell are you guys talking about? "Sprayers are cheaters" and all this BS...

Is there some magical formula for horsepower that I don't know about? Because I was under the impression that Air+Fuel = power. Maybe I was wrong.

Look, ANY engine mod that makes a car go faster has that effect because it increases the air/fuel mix, or the rate at which it can be consumed in the combustion chambers. There is nothing tricky about nitrous. No "magic potion" for speed.

I dig it, man... But the key is to not only get there, but look cool doing it.

I like the sleeper idea, though. I bet you really surprise alot of unsuspecting people.

R32s are pretty heavy (says the F-body owner )! I had a GTI 1.8T and it was darn near as quick - the extra power - 241 vs 180 - is absorbed by the weight of the AWD system. They are pretty cool though - very well built - really nice interior. It is not a drag racing car - i think 0-60 in the low to mid 6s. Not a match for a V8 F-body - watch it though - lots of mods out there for VR6s!
