    nfb: where is the coolant blow off valve on...

    a 1989 L98 corvette engine ???
    does it even have one ???
    i can't find it and i do know what they look
    like my 95 LT1 has one

    I've never heard of such a thing. If the coolant pressure gets too high the radiator cap will relieve it into the reservior tank. If the res. tank overfills, it will overflow onto the ground.

    If the coolant freezes, the freeze plugs in the block will push out.

      I've never heard of a "blow off" valve either. I think he is referring to the bleeder valve on a LT1. I don't think the L98 had a bleeder valve.

        bleeder valve thats it....!

        jeffs right the bleeder valve not blow off valve. just got of my night shift.
        so L98's don't have a bleeder valve ???
