Being that i have drove my car now for about a month problem-free, i figured i would be overdue really soon to have something go wrong...and this morning was when i was introduced to my new problem.
So as i was driving to work this morning, i noticed on a turn that my steering seemed slightly less responsive for the first 35 degrees (in respect to my steering wheel being 360 degrees) in either direction, then after those 35 degrees it feels normal. Also, i started to hear a clanking noise (but i realized soon after that it was the vibration of my exhaust and muffler being loose), as well as a rubbing noise coming from my rear drivers side tire only on quick turns though. Finally, the stumper for me, is it seems like the body is loose
This is going to be hard to explain, but i'll try my best.
As i was driving straight at 40 mph, because my handling felt a little odd, i turned my wheel quickly to the left and then back to the right (not too much to where i would even be close to switching in to the next lane) and i did this a couple of times. As you do this, like normal you can feel the car swaying back to the left and right, but the weird thing is afterwards, when i'm holding my wheel straight, my car will continue swaying for another 5 seconds or so.
I know it has never felt like this before, it just feels loose. Also when this happens, the only way i can describe this, is it feels like my rear end wants to swing out (and i know that our rear ends swing out easily, but i know the feel of my car pretty good and this is totally different). I wish i could describe this better, but the only way anyone could 100% realize what i'm saying is by driving it or riding in it.
All of this just started this morning, and i know the first couple of things are smaller and easy to diagnose, but didnt know if they were in relation to my car swaying.
It seems like i always will go one step forward and nine steps back with my car, but i love f-bodies and will do whatever it takes until she finally gets to where i want her. Unfortunately that day will probably come 15 years after I'm dead
Help or any thoughts at all on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx alot guys
Chris
