    Winter Storage Tips/Tricks

    Welp the T/A is going away on Sunday until March when the Grand Am's lease is up. Well I took the chrome rims off just becuase i want to polish them all winter when im bored. The T/A has 5 coats of Zaino right now but more will come this weekend. She will be under a waterproof cover all winter. Do i need moth balls or what else should i do. I have never stored a car before and neither has my dad. Thanks for all your help.

    Store like a chain saw, no fluids and no Battery. There are also fluid preservers for oil nad fuel so you dont have to drain the tank. also put a bag with a rubberband over the TB and exhust pipes to keeps small rodents out.

      If you are only puting it away for 4 or 5 months, it is not a big deal. Add some sta-bil to a full tank of gas just to be safe. Change the oil in the spring. Make sure it is in a dry place. Keep the battery inside where it is warm with a trickle charger on it. Put old wheels on it so the nice ones dont get flat spots on them.

        dude youre putting your car up already? Me and my friends usually dont store until snow starts to hit the ground. Thats usually in November sometime. Oh well you gotta do what u gotta do good luck with storing it.

          Sadly there is almost a foot of snow here now, My car is stored in a nice heated shop. Time to tear it appart to do all the mods for this winter, New motor, diff, and a few others. Getting lots of stuff powdercoated. I wish I could drive more but Im also happy to get to the mods

              A trickle charger is a batt. charger that slowly charges a batt. Most Car Batt. chargers have an option to select this.

                does it get seriously that bad there that u cant drive the car 1 day a week??

                i hate to just let cars sit..although my grandpas model A sits all the time and that beast starts on the first crank everytime so i dont think that letting the car sit for a few months will be that bad..my grandpa just takes the batt out of the car
