I have a 1996 LT1 camaro with Flowmaster cat-back exhaust and a SS style hood for cold air intake. I am purchasing a ATI Procharger with dual intercoolers and was wondering do I need to beef up the internals or add a cam or new heads? I was also wondering what other supporting modifications I would need to do to make sure I get the most out of the supercharger. Do I need to upgrade my fuel system and what companies do you all reccommend?

Flowmasters aren't that bad...they're alot better than stock. How many miles do you have and how well has your engine been maintained? What is your budget? With a lower milage engine that has been well maintained you would be alright to run 6psi with an intercooler as long as you got it tuned. But personally I'd recommend doing it right. Even at only 6psi your engine will only last so long. You should definelty get a set of headers on your car. Theres no point flowing in a lot of air when you can't get it out. Also you'd be better off building up the engine right first. A good set of forged pistons, rods and a crank that lower your compression. Then doing atleast a port and polish job on your heads if not having them proffesionally cnc ported or buying a new set. Also a cam will help alot. Tuning is a must for any type of supercharging. Also you'll need bigger injectors and possibly a better fuel pump or an inline one to handle the extra fuel needs at higher psi. Slapping on a super charger will get you a bunch of power quick problem is your car won't last too long. The best way to go about it is mod up to one. Get it breathing to its full ability first. Then get the engine to have the ability to handle it. Thats when you can run a higher boost and get the most out of a supercharger. Also consider the fact that if you do get into higher power you'll need a new clutch if you have the t56 or to beef up your A4. Then you have to start thinking about getting that power to the ground on a launch and once you start to get solid launches your rear isn't going to last you'll have to look into a 12 bolt or something along that lines. Once you start modding its not gonna stop lol. (I look at that as a good thing)

you can most likly get away wil just some Foreged dished pistons to lower your C/R and have your rods re-maned but the crank should last awhile, just use some good clevite bearings and a nice oil pump. Headers and a cat back are a most! also look into a OBD1 computer (you can get one off ebay for 100$ or less) and cut those cats out if you can (if your state does not require emission checks). Injectors and a pump will come with the kit I think (they do with the vortech kit). a cam would be nice and give you a ton more power but your would need to have heads worked on (new springs and seats, new retainers, new push rods), but you can get away with the stock stuff if you dont have the funds.
I recommend you through the S/C on your stock LT1 with some Hooker LT's and build you a beast of an LT1 while you get all the good out of yours, then when that day comes (and you know it will), youll have a beast ready to drop in.1967 VW Bug 2.3L Ford SVO Inline 4 w/ Turbo, Sand-Drag VW Trans Axle, Race this Import.
